New Year's Eve fun

During the day, we drove up to Adventure Park, USA outside of Frederick, MD. They have a lot of outdoor activities to do that we'll try out next summer, but they also had this cool inside playground that I enjoyed running through. There was also a kid's arcade, and some neat rides.

Road Trip to see my Fosko cousins

Two days after Christmas, we went to see my Fosko cousins. We had dinner with Daddy's friend Fr. Bob, who daddy went to St. Charles Seminary with. I enjoyed having dinner with Fr. Bob, he kept me entertained the whole time, and I think showed mommy and daddy a few tricks too. He has many nieces and nephews, and even some grandnieces and grandnephews.

I got this neat Lego set from my cousins, and we gave them books, which daddy had bought at the Scholastic Book Fair at St. Ann's Academy. Here's mommy playing Jenga with Kensie

Christmas Dinner

What about me? Thai, our cat, seemed to want to go to Christmas Dinner too, since he kept playing with one of the bags of presents. Later on, we went to Pops and Gams for Christmas Dinner. I got a Leapster Zippity, some clothes, puzzles, and a car with play tools. I had lots of fun, especially running around with my cousin Abbey. I also heard that my uncle Anthony had the same kindergarten teacher that I might have in two years at St. Ann's, Mrs. Leftwich.

Santa Came!!

Christmas morning I kept looking out the front door to see if Santa came. I guess I was expecting to see him at the front door. Then daddy directed me to look under the tree, where I saw all these presents!

I got this book from my teacher, Mrs. Kernan. I better have mommy and daddy read it to me and add it to the list of books I had read to me over Christmas Break. The librarian at St. Ann's (where I go to school), a.k.a. daddy, is hosting a pizza party for the class that reads the most number of pages!

Mommy's friend Dawn gave me these neat Bible story DVD's and a Bible story coloring book.

Santa gave me this neat car plate wall switch, which I helped daddy put up. He put the cat one that was in my room in mommy and daddy's room. Abbey got a wall plate from Santa too.

When I was in South Dakota my cousin Reagan had this cool game called Hungry Hungry Hippo so I was glad to get this for Christmas!

Here I am modelling the alligator towel I got from Nona. I had fun later on using it.

When mommy and her friend went to West Virginia Wesleyan College a few weeks ago, they went shopping for me for Christmas! Now daddy needs to get me some things from his alma mater, Drexel University. You know, daddy, I do have a birthday next month....

Here I am with some more books from Santa. They curiously look like books from the Scholastic Book Fair that St. Ann's had in November. I don't remember seeing Santa at the Book Fair!

I like salad, crab, and veal

Mommy and daddy have to record this for future reference. Tonight at Mamma Lucia's I had some salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, veal and crab, as well as my ravioli and chocolate cake. This morning we first went to the mall to do some last minute shopping. I enjoyed seeing the decorations at the mall. Then we went to the Rockville Library and I got to read some books while daddy did some genealogy. At church we had a Christmas Pageant with the reading of the Gospel.

Being in someone else's shoes

Yesterday I tried on daddy's slippers and walked around the house.
We then went to mommy's physical therapist's office, and I found a nice comfortable spot to sit and wait.

No pictures of today, though. Daddy and I tried to build a snowman, but the snow was too powdery. The same with toboganning, I just sank in the snow. We'll have to wait for the next snowfall to try snowmen and sledding again.

I also talked with and saw Rafaela, one of my favorite babysitters. She moved back to her native Brazil, but we were able to do a video phone chat using Skype. I kept asking her to come here, but didn't understand the concept of where Brazil was. I also got to see her mom and sister. It was fun, I got to learn how to say hello, Merry Christmas, and goodbye in Portuguese.

Snowed in

Here are a few pictures from the Blizzard of 2009.

Our deck and cars are well covered, and snow is piled high after shoveling the sidewalks. Daddy took the SUV out and pushed down the snow to make it easier to shovel. Then he decided to do the same with mommy's car and ended up getting it stuck, providing for some neighborhood entertainment.

We were helping our next door neighbor plow out too. She is leaving on Wednesday to visit her parents in Ghana. She'll have stories to tell them! Mommy also took me toboganning on the sidewalk. I'm not sure I'm ready to tackle the hill on the side of our house.

Talking with my foster family

Last night mommy woke me up and had a suprise for me. I was able to see my foster mother and family that I lived with in Guatemala. I saw Mama Rosa, Marlon, Marisol, and another grandchild. It was fun sharing pictures through the webcam, and I enjoyed seeing my foster mother, Mamma Rosa. I know she enjoyed seeing me. Daddy shoveled snow this morning so we can get out the front door and to the car.

My gingerbread house

Mommy put the gingerbread house together and put the icing on so I could help mommy and daddy put the candy on. Then I had a few candies, yum, yum! Now I am getting ready for bed, and looking forward to going sledding tomorrow with mommy and daddy. It's still snowing here!

Blizzard of 2009

Well, you'll have to look at Abbey's blog for some more pictures of today. This is as close as we got to going outside. Maybe tomorrow once it stops snowing we'll venture outside. Now daddy and I are just waiting for Montgomery County to make their decision about school on Monday and Tuesday. Loudon, Stafford and Morgan County school districts have already made their decision....

Abbey

Abbey came over to visit today, and I had so much fun! We played with Thai, made some shapes with Play-Doh, and played with my toys.

Playseum

This morning I woke up and put my sandals on. I said I wanted to go to the beach. Daddy even let me talk with Pops to tell him so. We decided it would be too cold, and Aunt Amy had told mommy of this new place that opened in Bethesda called the Playseum. It had a miniature Safeway, room with balls, art room, and plenty of other things to see and do.

Even better, mommy and daddy said that tomorrow Aunt Amy and my cousin Abbey are coming over for a visit. I can't wait to see them, and to play with Abbey and show her my cat, Thai.

Breakfast with Santa and running track

Yesterday, I went down to St. Ann's with mommy and daddy to help set up for Breakfast with Santa, and had fun running around with the other kids whose parents were also there setting up. I told mommy and daddy I didn't want to go to church. They didn't listen to me, so I showed them! I decided to have a track meet during church. I thought it was fun. Mommy and daddy were not pleased.

When we came this morning, Monsignor came over to me with a smile on his face, and said he wanted to make sure I survived the night. It was neat eating with a pre-K4 friend of mine, Tommy, and seeing even more kids, and having my picture taken with Santa.

Go Notre Dame!

Mommy and Aunt Amy are here holding the twins. Before the adults watched the Notre Dame-USC game, we saw a parade of Christmas lights and floats in Gettysburg. It was cold, but us kids had fun anyway. We watched movies downstairs, much more fun than watching Notre Dame lose!

Baptism and my first sleepover

Today my two new cousins were baptized. Us four older kids had a front-row seat, but could hardly keep quiet or still. I think the babies were quieter than we were!

After the baptism I had my very first sleepover with my cousins! While we were watched by my Uncle Corey's cousin Jenna, mommy and daddy and the rest of the adults went to Pierre to see the Christmas lights in the State Capitol building, and where my Uncle Corey sits in the state Senate chambers.

We're leaving on a jet plane!

Today we left for our much anticipated trip to South Dakota to see my two new cousins, Madison and Kennedy! What I enjoyed most about the plane trip out was seeing my cousin Abbey, and Pops and Gams. We only live 25 minutes from my cousin, but we hadn't seen her since daddy started working at St. Ann's. On the trip out I kept fighting with Abbey over what video we were going to watch, and constantly wanted to sit in Pop's and Gam's laps, even when Pops was trying to read the newspaper!

We got to see my new cousins after an hour ride from Pierre to Gettysburg. Pops and Gams certainly look proud holding their two newest grandchildren!

While the adults enjoyed talking, drinking, and eating Thanksgiving dinner, us kids enjoyed racing these cars in this humungous shed! My cousin Reagan even decided to play bumper cars once, which didn't go over too well with her mommy. Oh yeah, we did manage to eat in the midst of all the fun things to do: cars, moonbounce, pass the pickle, and just running around. We wore ourselves out!

Mommy got to play today!!

Mommy and Stephanie went to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) annual conference in DC this past weeek. On the first day (Wednesday), they both went to a Play workshop. Mommy got to play for 25 minutes and she had so much fun. She played with tree trunk pieces and built this with them. I really liked it. Stephanie even made of video of mommy during the conference doing the "Wild Rompus" from the Where The Wild Things Are. We will post it later.

Oink Oink shots and the Brotherhood of the Travelling Pants

Daddy and I got our swine flu shots this morning. I was OK until we went up to the stage where they were giving the shots, and I was scared seeing all these other kids crying. Daddy went first, and it didn't hurt me one bit, he said I was so brave!

I have to go back next month to get my second dose, but daddy is all done, except for his regular flu shot. I got mine already.

Two weeks ago I needed an extra pair of pants at school. Daddy forgot to return them, so yesterday I wore them to school. When daddy said to my teacher that we'll wash them and return them Monday, I said 'I can take them off now', to which daddy and my teacher said no, keep my pants on.

Halloween 2009

This is a picture of me in my puppy costume. Our new kitten Thai is in the picture with me. I really like him and he likes playing with me too. I had so much fun on Halloween. At school we walked in a parade and we also had a halloween party as well. Also at school daddy took me through the haunted house in the library. I did not get scared until the end. After I ate dinner mommy and daddy took me out trick or treating. I was scared of the doors that had skeletons on the door. Mommy and daddy told me that it was not real, but I did not believe that. I also saw a jack-o-lantern in a window at one house and that really scared me. Mommy told me that it would not hurt me and I would not believe that either.

The best part of the evening was getting a lot of candy. Then we came home and I helped mommy and daddy give out candy to the kids who came to our house. We gave out five bags of candy in an hour.

Now that Halloween is over, I am looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with Pops, Gams, Aunt Amy, Uncle Scott, Aunt Karen, Uncle Corey and my cousins, Reagan, Harrison and Abbey. I am also excited about meeting my new cousins Madison and Kennedy (Reagan and Harrison's baby sisters).

A New Addition To The Fosko Family!

Mommy brought home a new kitten last night. He is a chocolate point siamese and was born on July 4, 2009. Stephanie helped mommy to pick out a name for him. Mommy had looked at a list of Siamese names. Stephanie thought that since he was born on July 4th, which means independence/freedom that it would be appropriate to name the kitten Thai. Thai is Siamese for free. I got to play with him today and he came right up to me and wanted me to let him. I love Thai so much. Here are a few pictures of him.

Also today was my cousin Madison Rose Fosko's 4th birthday. Welcome to the family Madison and Kennedy. I love you very much.

Having Fun With Stephanie's Friend

Today I got to meet Stephanie's friend Ian. Ian lives about 2.5 miles away from us. I had so much fun with him. I like him so much. He is very funny too. Here is a picture of me with him and also a picture of Stephanie and I as well as mommy, daddy and I.
