A flapper and the flu

Daddy needed to replace the flapper on our toilet, and it ended up being a replace-the toilet project. I helped a little, and tested the water in the new toilet to make sure it was OK.

Now I have had the flu since Friday, and mommy is sick too. Daddy isn't sick, and he's the one without a spleen! Go figure. Hopefully everyone in the Shaw clan will be better soon and stop having the flu and throwing up, having fainting spells, etc.

And congrats to my cousin Harrison, who has decided, with the help of some M&M's, that he wants to walk now.

Playing with my cousins

On Sunday I opened up the rest of my presents, then went to Pops and Gams' house to play with my cousins again. I liked playing cars with Harrison, and crawling with Abbey. We stayed for dinner, and I enjoyed eating with Reagan. In fact, when she got down from the table, I refused to eat until she came back. Thanks for helping me eat, Reagan! (and Gams too). We also had pudding.

Birthday party part 3

On Saturday I had a birthday party at where my mommy is Site Manager, Gymboree Play and Music. Boy, did I have fun! Two of my friends from school came, and Maya, who was also adopted from Guatemala, as well as all my Shaw cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as Pops, Gams, and Gee, my great-grandma. My mom's boss and her three kids came too.

We playe, blew bubbles, had parachute time and did the Gymbo Dance. We even had a Thomas the Train cake, and I got plenty of presents from everyone!

After my party, we went and had dinner with Pops and Gams, and my Shaw aunts, uncles, and cousins. I even got to play with my eight-month old cousin Abbey. Boy, did I have a long day. I fell asleep in the car on the way home. Thanks everyone for being a part of my first birthday in the US!

My Second Birthday!

To start my birthday, mommy decided to get the locks on the front door replaced. Daddy and mommy had been meaning to do it since we moved in, but getting locked out of the house provided the perfect opportunity! We went to a nice neighbor's house while mommy and I waited for the locksmith, and I had Cherrios, and played, and even got a present from my neighbor for my birthday! I also got a present today from one of daddy's coworkers, and Auntie Dawn.

After daddy came home from work, we went to Chuck - E - Cheese's for dinner. I enjoyed the ride with my cousin Harrison, and playing with my cousin Reagan. I didn't like the big mouse, I was afraid he thought I was a piece of cheese!

Starting my 2nd birthday celebration

We went to Philadelphia on Saturday the 12th for a library conference. In the exhibit hall I saw a robot that talked, people giving out candy, and train sets and other toys. We didn't take any pictures, but did have fun.
We then went to my Grandma and Grandpa Fosko's house on Sunday to celebrate my Grandma's birthday, and my birthday. My Uncle Gary came with my three Fosko cousins, and we had a blast. Aunt Carolyn missed all the fun, but she had a yoga class.

My Fosko cousins made a cake too. It was yummy!

Here is a picture of everyone at my grandma and grandpa's house. I got a tricycle, and got a goodie bag to take home with me. I get to see my Shaw cousins next Friday and Saturday.

Giddyap horsie!

I enjoyed the horsie ride my daddy gave me today. I love climbing on his back and going around the room. Maybe I'll be a cowboy in South Dakota when I grow up!

more Philly fun

New Year's Eve, we went to the Please Touch museum in Philly, and the Franklin Institute. There was going to be a Noon Year's Eve celebration at 12 noon, but I didn't last. Though I had fun, there were too many kids and things to do, it was overwhelming. I enjoyed the Franklin Institute, though what I enjoyed the best was the two hour nap I took on the way home.

Barclay Bowling in Philly

Mommy and Daddy let me go bowling Dec. 29th with Daddy's friends, who all have kept in touch since kindergarten. I even got to push a few balls down the alley. The next day, mommy and daddy took me to see the Liberty Bell. We also visited St. John's in Philly, run by the Capuchins, of whom daddy was a member of for a few years.

Christmas party 5 - December 25th

Finally, I had fun unwrapping presents at Pops and Gams. I saw my Aunt Gina, Uncle Anthony, Uncle Scott, Aunt Amy, and my cousin Abbey and my great-grandmother Theda. I'm getting to be a pro at this Christmas thing. (Oh yeah, we also went to Church Christmas Eve, though I wanted to walk around a lot). We also went to Agio's Christmas Eve too.

Riding my train

Here's a video of me riding my train. Daddy had to help me push my foot down on the pedal. It makes a lot of cool noises too!

Christmas Party 4 - December 25

We then opened presents at home Christmas Day before going over to Pops and Gams. I unwrapped a lot of presents, and enjoyed the train I got. I also played with the blocks that Nona sent me, sat in the chair that Pops and Gams got me, and the T-shirt that my Auntie Dawn gave me.

Christmas Party 3 - December 23/24

The next day, we went to my grandma and grandpa Fosko's, and celebrated Christmas there. More presents! And good food and desserts. I love the basketball net I got!

Christmas party 2 - Saturday December 22nd

We went to see my New Jersey cousins, and celebrated Christmas, my birthday, and daddy's birthday. There were a lot of presents, but I was more interested in playing with my cousin Maddie's toys. We had an ice cream cake too!
