A good genealogy trip and a bad genealogy trip

Last weekend I went with mommy and daddy to visit mommy's friend Stephanie in Virginia. She has a pet bird that I was mesmerized by. Then we went to Winchester and Front Royal Virginia. We went to a cemetery where some of my mommy's relatives are buried and saw a few graves. There is a lot of Civil War stuff in Front Royal, which my uncle Scott could tell me all about, he even does reenactments, which maybe I'll get to see him do sometime.

Today we went to the Hagerstown Historical Society so mommy and daddy could do some research. Everything was fine until I decided to leave some history of myself behind (my breakfast) all over myself, the floor, mommy, and daddy. I fell asleep in the car, and seemed fine, but while daddy was looking for some graves at a cemetery in Hancock and mommy and I were waiting in the car, I started to look grave, and reenacted my morning episode all over myself and my car seat.

Mommy and daddy then decided to call it a day, and took me home to the doctor, who said I have a stomach bug. Maybe I picked it up at Suburban Hospital, where I was Friday nignt with mommy and daddy when mommy wasn't feeling well. So I guess tomorrow is daddy's turn to get sick!

My week at Daddy Day Care

My daycare was closed this week for summer vacation, so Tuesday through Friday daddy stayed home with me. Tuesday we went to Friendly's for breakfast while we got the car fixed, Wednesday daddy and I went to the library to order microfilm, and on Thursday I went with daddy on one of his doctor's appointments. I got to meet his doctor, who is really nice, and is from India. Her and her husband adopted a girl from India. Friday daddy took me to Gymboree where I did a gym class and got to see mommy working at managing the office.

My first haircut at Hair Cuttery

Daddy and mommy forgot to bring the camera, but we all got haircuts today, including me! I was so good for the woman cutting my hair, and I didn't cry once while sitting in daddy's lap. Maybe it was because I was so happy to get out of the stroller that I was in. So now my hair looks nice and short, and better than when daddy cut my hair before my baptism (guess he better keep his day job!).

Yesterday I went to my great-great-aunt Ga's funeral, and am now taking a nap while daddy works on a paper he has to do for class. He's such a procrastinator! But I guess when I'm in school, daddy shouldn't complain if I do my homework at the last minute.

Mommy Made This for My Room

Mommy felt being a little creative. So we went to Michael's on July 30th and she got a piece of wood, letters and wood stickers. So during my nap, she put it all together. She stained the piece of wood, painted the letters, and glued them on as well as apply the wood stickers. I really liked it a lot and Mommy and Daddy will be hanging it up in my room. I really like it a lot!!!
Yesterday we got home from Lexington Park, MD. I had a great time. We had to get a disposable camera and we took pictures. We have to get it developed first, but we will post them soon. Miss you all and cannot wait to see you!!!
