Water Water Everywhere!!

Tonight we arrived at the Fairfield Inn in Rapid City. There is a Water Park connected to the hotel. While riding in the tubee in the lazy river, I clung to Corey for dear life. By the time that we left I wanted to jump in head first.

Yummy Donuts and Meeting Grandma Brown!

Today we spent the day in Gettysburg taking it easy. Aunt Karen introduced us to the local Donut Shop. Corey says they have the best donuts. Mommy, Daddy, and I agree with him. They were delicious. I also got to meet Grandma Brown (Reagan and Harrisons' Grandma. She even gave us lollypops!!! Daddy even went to the courthouse and library in town to do research on the Brown family. I also played with Daisy too. Tomorrow we are off to Rapid City, South Dakota.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

Today we went to Aberdeen to Wylie Park. They had rides, storybook land, the Wizard of Oz, and a zoo. On the way there, Reagan and I played with a rubber snake. I was afraid of the head, but had no problems playing with the tail. We took a train ride and I saw buffalo and llamas. All three of us conked out on the way back to Gettysburg, which is 1450 miles from Gettysburg, PA.

Parks, Popsicles, and Pools

Today mommy and daddy took me to the park in Gettysburg again. Daddy was a bit tired because he and uncle Corey stayed up until midnight talking politics. Reagan and I had fun playing with her dollhouse, and jumping on Reagan's bed. I even decided to hide mommy's I-Pod, which she found underneath the bed.

We also had popsicles in the pool on the front porch. I didn't like the pool, the water was too cold. I enjoyed more playing with my cousin's Hot Rod and car. We even blew Gymboree bubbles! We also ate some pretend ice cream from a bucket of water. Reagan made the ice cream and then we all had fun eating it. We also enjoyed hanging out together on Reagan's inflatable bed in Harrison's room before we went to bed. Uncle Corey's aunt and uncle came over after I went to bed, and I briefly saw Reagan and Harrison's grandma Brown at lunchtime.

I finally went in the pool and liked it!

Oh yeah, last night we went to Mass down by the river. Reagan, Harrison and I collected some rocks. Everything was OK until I for some reason decided to try to lick one. Now back to today. Uncle Corey and daddy played with us and let us pile on them, and daddy gave us horsey rides. Aunt Karen took us all to the park, and I enjoyed the slides and the bridge. They had a merry-go-round at the park which I didn't like, maybe because it didn't have horses on it.

Uncle Corey stayed home to work on preparing to put new hardwood flooring in his office. He's so talented around the house, my daddy can do some things, like put in a new toilet, but not hardwood floors or new electrical outlets!

I don't like the pool or the sprinkler at daycare, but today, after about 20 minutes, I finally went in the pool in Gettysburg and actually enjoyed it! Mommy says she's going to tell Monica at my daycare that I like the pool now.

I even took a bath tonight with my cousins. Thanks, Aunt Karen! They're putting all of us kids to bed so the mommies and daddies can have an adults-only dinner. Must be so boring with my cousins and me not around!

Westward Ho!

Last night we drove to the Dulles Airport Marriott to start our trip to South Dakota. We got up early this morning and took the shuttle to the airport. I didn't like sitting in my seat with my seatbelt, and cried until we were in the air and daddy got out my DVD player. Then I was happy. We had a long walk through the airport in Minneapolis to our next flight. This time I fell asleep as soon as we were airborne.

When we got to Pierre, Karen, Corey, Reagan and Harrison were there to meet us. First stop was Walmart for groceries. Daddy also bought some shorts because he's taking longer than he had hoped to lose some weight. Then we saw the state capitol, and the senate chambers, where hopefully my uncle Corey will be after the November elections. Then we got ice cream. I promptly spilled mine all over mommy's foot, but Reagan let me share hers. When we got to the house, I had to get used to their two dogs, Sidney and Daisy. I was scared of them at first, but eventually got used to them.

Krazy dress up day at Camp

Today was crazy dress-up day at camp. Here I am with my clothes on backwards. Some of the other kids had Halloween costumes on. I'm too big to fit into last year's Halloween costume.

Anniversary dinner for three

Mommy and daddy's babysitter got stuck working late, so I got to join them for dinner. We went to Potomac Grill, and they had a drink called a Lava Flow, which was their favorite drink when they were on their honeymoon. It wasn't the way it was made in Hawaii, but they seemed to like it anyway.

I gave them an anniversary present too when we got home, I went pee-pee in the toilet for the first time!
Stay tuned for more from our trip to South Dakota!

fun with daddy's friends and kids

I had fun today seeing my dad's friends Ed and Scott, along with their wives Janet and Sharon. Janet made these good potstickers, and had lots of fruit for me to eat, then I ate all the tortilla off of daddy's burrito. Daddy's friends have known each other since kindgergarten. They asked whether Corey was a big R or a big D. I had fun playing with their children too. I even ejoyed playing with Eddie's toys, and he'll be four months old on Friday! Scott's children were playing Pokemon. They must have worn me out, beause I fell asleep on the way home!

Reagan, Harrison, Karen, Corey, no Abbey??!!?

Mommy and daddy have been preparing me for our trip to South Dakota on the 19th, and yesterday I said Reagan and Harrison (and Corey and Karen), then I said 'No Abbey'? I was sad when mommy said that she would be back in Bethesda. But I was happy to see that she made the front page of the paper! See their blogs for the pictures.

Independence Day at the Beach

On Thursday we went to Pop's and Gam's beach house. This was the first time I got to sleep over, and mommy was so excited! My great-aunt Mary Aleese was there, as well as Gam's good friend Claudia. Friday morning daddy took me to the beach, and I had fun playing in the sand. I wasn't too fond of the water, and didn't want to go near it. Daddy tricked me once and put me down in the water, boy was I mad! We went to dinner at Catch 54, which used to be called Shark's Cove. You'll see Jen and Claudia performing balancing acts with spoons. After I went to bed, the adults watched fireworks. Then Mother Nature provided some fireworks of her own, as we had a huge thunderstorm and lots of rain.
