Our first guests at our new home

Yesterday Aunt Karen and my cousins Reagan and Harrison came over to see the house. Aunt Karen also installed baby gates for mommy and daddy. Amy also came over to help as well to look at the house. Thank you Amy and Karen for putting in the gates to keep me safe!!!!

I had so much fun with Reagan while we played. I even shared my toys with her. Reagan and I enjoyed running back and forth between mommy and daddy's room and my room. Boy did we get a lot of exercise.

After everyone left, I went in my crib for a nap. It only took me about 3 minutes to fall asleep in mommy's arms.

On Friday, we are going to the beach for the weekend. I will get to see Pops, Gams, Aunt Amy and Karen, Uncle Scott, Reagan, Harrison and Abbey. I cannot wait because I have never seen a beach before. We will write again after we get back. Love to all.

Adjusting to the new home

Well I have now been here at the new house for 5 days and I so glad I will not be moving again for a while. Mommy and Daddy told me that we will not move again until I am at least in high school. I was feeling a little insecure at first with the new environment I would not let mommy or daddy out of my sight, but now I am starting to get more secure. I like my room. It is bigger!!

Saturday, June 23rd mommy dropped me off at Pops house for the day while she and daddy moved to the new house. I had so much fun with my cousins Reagan, Harrison, and Abbey. I also enjoyed being with Aunt Amy, Aunt Karen, Uncle Scott, Pops and Gams. There were so many kids there (like a day care, which helped me to prepare for when I start daycare next month). I had such a long day and I wanted to get home. I was mad at mommy and daddy because they did not get there until 7:30PM. They told me that getting the stuff in the house took over 8 hours. I was at Pops and Gams for 12 hours. Thanks to everyone for taking care of me on Saturday!!!!

My Welcoming Party

Sorry it took so long to post the pictures from the Baptism and party. I have been busy sleeping while mommy and daddy would pack up boxes to move. Saturday was the day everyone came over to meet me and celebrate that I was home with mommy and daddy. I really enjoyed meeting everyone (mommy and daddy's friends as well as the rest of mommy's VA and MD family) and had fun playing with all my cousins. The food was great too. It was all Spanish food. There was even flan for dessert, yum yum. My favorite thing was the chocolate cake. Mommy only let me have a few bites, since she did not want me to have a sugar high. It was a fun filled day. So much fun that I was so tired when I got home. We will post again after we move.

Bobby's Baptism

On Satuday I was baptized. Mommy and Daddy thought I did a great job. It was hard for me to sit still in their laps, but they understood. Karen and Corey are my Godparents and mommy's friend Teanna stood in for Corey at the Baptism. I really liked it when the water went on my forehead and it made me smile.

Bobby's first haircut at since coming home

On Thursday, Daddy gave me my first haircut since I have been in the United States. I did not like it too much I cried a lot and wanted him to stop. What helped me to be distracted, was that TeAnna and mommy sang to me. They sang some wonderful songs that they used to sing when they worked together at Bedford Court (a senior living community) They sang "Aint She Sweet" (sang it as "Aint He Sweet") and "Oh You Beautiful Doll" (sang it as "Oh You Handsome Doll") I have to tell you that this did work and I stayed distracted for at least a few minutes. I thought dad did a pretty good job cutting my hair for the first time!!

Meeting TeAnna

On Thursday, my mom's best friend TeAnna came over just to meet me. Boy am I special!!! When she got there I even let her hold me. She loved that so much and thought I was sooo cute too. TeAnna gave me a big yellow ball. Just like the big blue ball at Gymboree that I like to play with so much. TeAnna also gave me a rubber ducky set for the bathtub. Thank you TeAnna!!!

Bobby's Rocking Chair

I wanted to share with all of you a special gift I received from a friend of my Pops. It is a rocking chair with my name on it with a road sign on either side of my name. The seat of the chair has different vehicles on there. Here is some pictures of me sitting in it. I really love the chair and I can get up and sit in it all by myself!!!

Bobby Celebrates Mommy's Birthday

On Saturday, June 9th I expressed my love for mommy by doodling in the Birthday card from me. Mommy really loved it!!! Mommy even loved the gift that daddy and I got for her. A wall picture that you plug in and it makes noises and the picture lights up.

That night, Daddy and I took mommy out to dinner to celebrate. I even ate all three of my ravioli and lots of bread. Mommy and daddy even gave me a taste of the filling from the cannoli. The restaurant was great and even for a toddler myself. The restaurant we took mommy too was Bella Notte in Olney, MD.

I really enjoyed celebrating mommy's birthday for the first time.

Moving Again?

The good thing is that I will be moving with mommy and daddy. Daddy put a box together to pack some things, however, I decided to climb into it instead!!!

Class at Gymboree Play and Music

Mommy took me to Gymboree (where she works) for class. I have so much fun there and I get pretty social with the other kids. My favorite activity is "Airlog Freeze" When the music plays I tap on the airlog. Then when the person says "freeze" during the song, I put my hands on my head. I love Gymboree!!!!

The day before Mother's Day, I got to meet my Grandma and Grandpa Fosko. I also met my aunt Carolyn and Uncle Gary and my cousins, Emma, Kensie, and Maddie.

Meeting Pops and Gams

I got to meet Pops and Gams two days after I got home. They were really excited and happy to finally get to hold me and see me in person. Though mommy and daddy didn't take a picture, I got to meet my aunt Amy and uncle Scott and newborn cousin Abbey the first weekend in May.

I Moved!

Mommy and daddy were so happy to hear on February 28th, 2007, that my adoption was finalized and I was ready to come join mommy and daddy in North America! Just a few more pieces of paperwork left to be done, and I finally arrived home with mommy and daddy on April 19, 2007.

Here I am playing with a toy that my aunt Karen gave me.

My first birthday!

One of the gifts I got on my first birthday was this book from my cousins Reagan and Harrison. My aunt and uncle Brown graduated from Notre Dame, along with Pops and my aunt Palumbo.

Besides my mommy and daddy, I got to celebrate my first birthday with my foster mother, her adult children, and her two grandchildren.

Mommy and Daddy meet me for the first time!

In August, 2006 I got to meet mommy and daddy for the first time at the Guatemala City Marriott! The woman holding me is my foster mother, who had been taking care of me (along with the rest of her family) since I was a week old.

Me and my Birthmom

In June of 2006 I went to see my birthmom, who hadn't seen me since I was a week old.
I think I have her nose and her eyes, and probably her hair too!
She knew she could not take care of me by herself, so I had been living with my wonderful foster family.

Greetings from Guatemala!

I saw the blogs my cousins Reagan, Harrison, and Abbey have, and decided I wanted one too!

Thought you'd like a few pictures too.

I'm just under a month old in this picture, and is one of the set of first pictures my mommy and daddy got of me when I was living in Guatemala.

Mommy and daddy got this picture of me on February 27th, 2006, the day before my Grandpa's birthday.
