Today we went to Aberdeen to Wylie Park. They had rides, storybook land, the Wizard of Oz, and a zoo. On the way there, Reagan and I played with a rubber snake. I was afraid of the head, but had no problems playing with the tail. We took a train ride and I saw buffalo and llamas. All three of us conked out on the way back to Gettysburg, which is 1450 miles from Gettysburg, PA.

Parks, Popsicles, and Pools
Today mommy and daddy took me to the park in Gettysburg again. Daddy was a bit tired because he and uncle Corey stayed up until midnight talking politics. Reagan and I had fun playing with her dollhouse, and jumping on Reagan's bed. I even decided to hide mommy's I-Pod, which she found underneath the bed.

We also had popsicles in the pool on the front porch. I didn't like the pool, the water was too cold. I enjoyed more playing with my cousin's Hot Rod and car. We even blew Gymboree bubbles! We also ate some pretend ice cream from a bucket of water. Reagan made the ice cream and then we all had fun eating it. We also enjoyed hanging out together on Reagan's inflatable bed in Harrison's room before we went to bed. Uncle Corey's aunt and uncle came over after I went to bed, and I briefly saw Reagan and Harrison's grandma Brown at lunchtime.

I finally went in the pool and liked it!
Oh yeah, last night we went to Mass down by the river. Reagan, Harrison and I collected some rocks. Everything was OK until I for some reason decided to try to lick one. Now back to today. Uncle Corey and daddy played with us and let us pile on them, and daddy gave us horsey rides. Aunt Karen took us all to the park, and I enjoyed the slides and the bridge. They had a merry-go-round at the park which I didn't like, maybe because it didn't have horses on it.

Uncle Corey stayed home to work on preparing to put new hardwood flooring in his office. He's so talented around the house, my daddy can do some things, like put in a new toilet, but not hardwood floors or new electrical outlets!

I don't like the pool or the sprinkler at daycare, but today, after about 20 minutes, I finally went in the pool in Gettysburg and actually enjoyed it! Mommy says she's going to tell Monica at my daycare that I like the pool now.

I even took a bath tonight with my cousins. Thanks, Aunt Karen! They're putting all of us kids to bed so the mommies and daddies can have an adults-only dinner. Must be so boring with my cousins and me not around!

Westward Ho!
Last night we drove to the Dulles Airport Marriott to start our trip to South Dakota. We got up early this morning and took the shuttle to the airport. I didn't like sitting in my seat with my seatbelt, and cried until we were in the air and daddy got out my DVD player. Then I was happy. We had a long walk through the airport in Minneapolis to our next flight. This time I fell asleep as soon as we were airborne.

When we got to Pierre, Karen, Corey, Reagan and Harrison were there to meet us. First stop was Walmart for groceries. Daddy also bought some shorts because he's taking longer than he had hoped to lose some weight. Then we saw the state capitol, and the senate chambers, where hopefully my uncle Corey will be after the November elections. Then we got ice cream. I promptly spilled mine all over mommy's foot, but Reagan let me share hers. When we got to the house, I had to get used to their two dogs, Sidney and Daisy. I was scared of them at first, but eventually got used to them.

Anniversary dinner for three

Mommy and daddy's babysitter got stuck working late, so I got to join them for dinner. We went to Potomac Grill, and they had a drink called a Lava Flow, which was their favorite drink when they were on their honeymoon. It wasn't the way it was made in Hawaii, but they seemed to like it anyway.

I gave them an anniversary present too when we got home, I went pee-pee in the toilet for the first time!
Stay tuned for more from our trip to South Dakota!

fun with daddy's friends and kids

I had fun today seeing my dad's friends Ed and Scott, along with their wives Janet and Sharon. Janet made these good potstickers, and had lots of fruit for me to eat, then I ate all the tortilla off of daddy's burrito. Daddy's friends have known each other since kindgergarten. They asked whether Corey was a big R or a big D. I had fun playing with their children too. I even ejoyed playing with Eddie's toys, and he'll be four months old on Friday! Scott's children were playing Pokemon. They must have worn me out, beause I fell asleep on the way home!

Reagan, Harrison, Karen, Corey, no Abbey??!!?
Mommy and daddy have been preparing me for our trip to South Dakota on the 19th, and yesterday I said Reagan and Harrison (and Corey and Karen), then I said 'No Abbey'? I was sad when mommy said that she would be back in Bethesda. But I was happy to see that she made the front page of the paper! See their blogs for the pictures.

Independence Day at the Beach

On Thursday we went to Pop's and Gam's beach house. This was the first time I got to sleep over, and mommy was so excited! My great-aunt Mary Aleese was there, as well as Gam's good friend Claudia. Friday morning daddy took me to the beach, and I had fun playing in the sand. I wasn't too fond of the water, and didn't want to go near it. Daddy tricked me once and put me down in the water, boy was I mad! We went to dinner at Catch 54, which used to be called Shark's Cove. You'll see Jen and Claudia performing balancing acts with spoons. After I went to bed, the adults watched fireworks. Then Mother Nature provided some fireworks of her own, as we had a huge thunderstorm and lots of rain.

Visiting another relative
On Sunday we had lunch at Cracker Barrel with a relative of mine who has been helping daddy out with genealogy. I was scared at first when mommy and daddy were trying to get me to call her Dr. Mary Ann, but then I found out that she's not a medical doctor, but does have a Ph.D. and taught at a college in Pennsylvania for many years. Both her and my grandpa Fosko knew each other as kids.

Genealogy Trip to Wilkes Barre

Friday afternoon after daycare we drove up to Scranton, PA. No more pack and play for me; I got to sleep in my very own inflatable toddler bed!

Saturday morning we went to the Luzerne County Historical Society, and I drew while mommy and daddy looked through some old books. Then they took me to the playground that my daddy played on when he visited his grandmother Gazinski's house. Of course the playground equipment is a lot newer. After lunch while I took a nap with mommy, my dad had fun walking through a cemetery looking for some graves. Strange way to have fun, I'd rather play on the swing and play with my trains and books.
Then we went to the church that my great-great-grandaunt went to. There's even a stained glass window in memory of one of her brothers.

Then we went to my great-aunt's house, and I met my second cousin Ava. Here I am with Ava, my mommy and Ava's mommy. She was born last December.

College Park Air Museum

Today I went on my first field trip, and I'm not quite 2 1/2! We went to the Air Museum in College Park. We rode the yellow school bus, and when we got there we made airplanes, and a sign. In the picture is also a bean plant that I planted from seeds. Silly daddy, he thought we were going to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum! Though I said I took a nap, the busy day must have worn me out, because this is how mommy and daddy found me at 6:25, fast asleep with my books!

Trip to Columbia

Today we went to Play Wise Kids in Columbia. I played in the sand, went on a tank and a fire engine. Boy, did I have fun! I also got to play with someone who will be 3 in August, and mommy got to tell them about Gymboree, which has birthday parties. Mommy sat in a massage chair which she very much enjoyed. Also, I almost got to meet my fourth cousin once removed too. They live close to where we were, but they weren't home.

presents for my Shaw cousins
Mommy went to the Gymboree store and bought clothes for my cousins and I. I got to wear my cute new outfit on Saturday. Sorry, no pictures. We also dropped off at Abbey's a dress for her and clothes for Reagan and Harrison, who they will see next week. We go out after they get back.

Father's Day
We don't have any pictures, but on Friday I made a nice card at school (with some help) for daddy for Father's Day. He got a baloon and chocolate covered strawberries. We called my grandpa, but they were at church. Later we saw my cousin Abbey at Pop's house. See Abbey's blog for the pictures.

Moving again

No, mommy and daddy aren't moving again, but my daycare is. We had a party, with a sprinkler, and rides. Here I am in my swimming trunks and daddy's favorite shirt. Next week I go to our new site, which will have the same teachers, and many of my same classmates. The daycare had to move because they're putting a new highway in called the ICC. It's been on the drawing books since the 1960's, and it should be done sometime in 2011. Who knows, it's been in the planning stages since before I was born, let's see if it's finished by the time I learn how to drive!

Mommy's Birthday
Today Mommy dropped me off at school so that she can have a day to herself. She went to get a massage, (Boy did she need it!)manicure, and pedicure. When I saw her when I got home with daddy she looked so relaxed. Then Time came over to babysit me while daddy took mommy to dinner at Ricciuti’s in Olney, MD. They really enjoyed it. I wish I could have gone too, but I did have a lot of fun with Tim too.

Family Birthday Celebration

Tonight Pops, Gams, Aunt Amy, Daddy and I took Mommy out to dinner to celebrate her Birthday. We went to Agios at the Pookeshill Marriott in Bethesda. It was fun seeing everyone and celebrating a second time with mommy. I especially liked the part where Mommy got a piece of cake with a candle on it and I helped her blow it out. Best of all, mommy let me eat the cake!!!! Yum I love chocolate!!!
Weekend Get Away

Mommy and Daddy took me to the beach for the weekend to help celebrate Mommy's birthday. We arrived at my great grandmother's Condo at the Carousel Friday night. Saturday we went to Cottage Cafe in Bethany Beach, DE for breakfast. Then we went to the Outlets in Rehobeth Beach, DE. We shopped at the Gymboree Outlet store and the Stride Right outlet store. After getting back from the outlets, we went by Pops Beach House to take more pictures(one of the pictures is of the grandchildren bedroom) and then we went back to the Carousel to have lunch. Mommy and Daddy decided to have a Lava Flow, which is the drink they had in Hawaii while on their Honeymoon almost 7 years ago. i even got to go on the rides again at the Carousel. It was a fun weekend and cannot wait to go back.

My Uncle did it!
My uncle Corey won the primary for his district of South Dakota! Now it's on to the November general election! We're so proud of you, Corey! (And I guess you did it 'with half a brain tied behind your back' since Karen was the other half of the brains!
