Today mommy, daddy, and Stephanie took me to the National Harbor. I had so much fun. First, we went into Ben and Jerry's and I had a chocolate covered pretzel along with daddy. Mommy and Stephanie had a milk shake. Then we went to the playground near by where there were rocks as well as a statue coming out of the sand. You could climb on the head, the arms, and the legs and then there was sand in the middle. I had so much fun running around in the sand and climbing. It was a fun day.

An Evening with Stephanie
Tonight we went to Alexandria for the night. First we stopped by Stephanie's to pick her up. I got to meet her mom and dad, Delores and Stephen. I also got to meet Stephanie's birds and dogs. I have gotten used to being around dogs and I love them. I thought the birds were pretty neat too. Then we left and went out to dinner with daddy, mommy, and Stephanie. It was a very fun evening.
A Is For Apple.

Today mommy and I went in to work with daddy. I went to try out the Pre-K 3 class and mommy helped daddy out in the library to get it organized for the students for next week. When mommy and daddy came to pick me up from the classroom, I was so excited and showed them the apple that I made. I was beaming from ear to ear. Afterwards, daddy and mommy enrolled me at St. Ann's and I will start attending there on Wednesday. I cannot wait.

It Is That Time Again
I had so much fun with summer camp this year. We went on many field trips like to a farm, museums, Chuck E Cheese, and I even liked water play every Thursday. Friday was my last day of summer camp and tomorrow school starts again. I will be in the 3 year old preschool class once again and then I will move into the 4 year old (pre-k) classroom in December and I will be in that class until June of 2011. I am looking forward to starting school again.

Back To School Bash in Downtown Silver Spring
Daddy and I thought it was time for mommy to get out of the house. We went to Montgomery Mall to pick up her rings and to have her walk. Once we left Shaw's Jewelers it was time to get mommy home to take a nap. After naptime, Daddy and Mommy took me to downtown Silver Spring for a special event they were having. There was Arts and Crafts, face painting, a moonbounce, etc. As you can see I had so much fun jumping in the moonbounce. Mommy and Daddy do not let me jump on things in the house, so I was very happy to know that I could jump in the moonbounce.

During the festivities, there was an entertainment portion. Gymboree Play and Music performed at this time. They did a Michael Jackson tribute (Happy Birthday MJ!!). Gymboree danced to Michael's music. They did a great job!! I was also glad that I got to see Ms. Kim and Ms. Rita. I have not seen them in a long time and missed them.

I was tired when we got home, but I had so much fun jumping and listening to the music.

Thank you Stephanie!!
From August 19th to August 22nd, mommy's friend Stephanie, stayed at our house to help mommy during the first few days of recuperation from surgery. I had so much fun playing with Stephanie. Stephanie thank you for helping take care of mommy and helping daddy as well while mommy recuperates.

Pop's Vacation
Mommy and Daddy took to the beach for Pop's vacation. I had so much fun with Pops, Gams, Abbey, Amy, and Scott. Amy even brought the pool and blew it up and added water to it so that Abbey and I could play in it. We even got to blow gymboree bubbles. Mommy and daddy even took me to the mall in Salisbury, MD and I got to play on a John Dere truck. It was such a nice weekend and we did not want to go home.

Dinosaurs And A Water Monster!!
Today mommy and daddy took me to downtown Silver Spring to see Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. I really loved the movie, especially when they showed the baby dinosauars. Of course there were other animals, but I like dinosaurs the best. There were a few times I got scared when they showed the big dinosaurs roar. Then we walked from the movie theater to the fountain so that I could play in it. I had so much fun that I did not want to go home. Mommy and daddy told me we had to go home because I had to take a nap. Party poopers!

Water And Donuts Please!!
Tonight mommy and daddy took me to Rockville Town Square to walk around. There were even rocks that you could climb on and jump off of. Do not worry mommy and daddy would only let me jump off the low rocks.

Then mommy daddy and I walked to the fountain. There were other kids in the fountain getting wet. I did not want to go in the fountain. All of a sudden I kept walking close then running back and after doing this a dozen or more times, I finally went in to the water. Boy did I get soaked, of course I did not mind at all.

We noticed there was a Fractured Prune there so we went there to get a donut before we went home. Yummy!! It was a chocolate glazed donut with chocolate chips on top. Mommy had a peppermint patty (mint green icing with chocolate chips) and daddy had a chocolate glazed donut with coconut.

Then it was time to go home. As soon as we got home the rain was coming down in buckets and all three of us got soaked just walking from the car to the front door. Then it was time to go to bed. I was so tired but it was so much fun. Goodnight to everyone. I love you all.

Rockville Sports Plex: Soccer
Today mommy and daddy took me to play soccer in an indoor field at the Rockville Sportsplex in Rockville, MD. Mommy and daddy said that if I liked the trial class they would enroll me for the Fall. The class I was in was the Hoppers (Beginners) class for 3 to 4 year olds. I had a lot of fun kicking the ball around before class started. However, when class started and they were having cirle time, I started to cry and did not do what the coaches said. I really do not like structure at all. Then I said; "I do not want to play soccer." Mommy and daddy took me home and decided that we would try another trial class in the Fall.

I can ride my tricycle now!
Daddy didn't have his camera outside with him, but I was able to pedal my tricycle myself on the sidewalk. Mommy and Daddy were thinking maybe I needed a smaller tricycle, but all I needed was some practice. Gee, with educators as parents, it certainly took them long enough to figure that one out!!! Practice makes perfect! I also should mention that we had dinner with Tim on Friday night at my favorite eating place, BJ Pumpernickles in Olney.

Happy 8th Anniversary Mommy and Daddy!

When mommy and daddy went out for their anniversary, Rafaela came over to babysit me. I love it when she comes to babysit, and we have so much fun! When mommy and daddy came home, she was reading with me from this children's Bible. Sadly, she's going back to her native Brazil in a few weeks, but plans to come back to go to college. I'll miss her!!!!

Take Me Home To A Place Where I Belong West Virginia Mountain Momma Take Me Home Country Roads!

This weekend we went to mommy's college for a reunion. Friday night we tried in vain to find a place to eat in Morgantown, but couldn't. Daddy pointed out the sign for West Virginia University, and I said 'I want to go there'.
Ok, so it was one word off from West Virginia Wesleyan, our final destination and mommy's alma mater. On Saturday morning we picked up Stephanie in Bridgeport, WV and drove to Buckhannon, WV. At the Alumni Center there was this neat rocking chair that I got to sit in, and I got to play with a nice 21-month old who was there, Rebecca.
I was a bit cranky before lunch, so daddy put me in the car and drove me around to get me to sleep. We were 30 miles down I-79 headed towards Charleston before mommy called and had daddy come back for lunch.
While I was at with daddy, mommy and Stephanie had to be interviewed for Mrs. Coston's book. I must have liked West Virginia Wesleyan, for later on that afternoon I had an accident and made my mark on the Alumni Center rug. I guess I have to go to college there now. That night, Rebecca's mommy (the Alumni Director), and her husband watched me and Rebecca while mommy and daddy met up with some of mommy's friends.

Mrs. Coston, who is in the center of the picture is the retired learning center director from Wesleyan, is writing a book about the alumni who was in the learning center during and their successes during and after Wesleyan. The name of the book will be called "A Celebration of Success". Mommy submitted some things from her experiences for book. The book is due to come out in the fall 2011 and at that point there will be a book signing.

Happy Birthday America!

Mommy, daddy, and I went to the beach for Independence Day! Daddy took me to the beach to play in the sand, then he took me in the water. Though I said to mommy when we got back to the house that I liked the water, I was crying and clinging to daddy every moment we were in the water!
Pops took me outside and I was his little helper in watering the plants. Thanks Pops, I loved being your little helper! Then Pops, Gams, and Mary Aleese played ball with me on the floor. I really had fun then!
Mommy and daddy went out to dinner after I went to bed. I wonder why??

A New Phrase For Bobby!

Today, Mommy and Daddy and I went to Warrenton, VA to do some Geneaology research on Mommy's side of the family. Mommy and Daddy had a successful trip. I was a big helper too. While daddy was making copies of what they found, I would take the copies out and lay them on the table. Sometime soon we are going to go to Front Royal, VA and do some more research. While we were in the library, I said a new phrase. I said; "Oh my gosh." Mommy and daddy have never heard me say that and they thought I was so cute. Mommy took a picture of my saying it. I am sooo cute!!

A surprise at home
Before we had left for Colorado, daddy had been telling me that my aunt Karen had a baby in her tummy. When we got home, we found out that my aunt has two babies in her tummy! I'll be getting two more cousins this fall!!

I want Nona!!!

I didn't want to leave on Wednesday, and Nona gave me two cars to take with me, along with snacks for the plane. All the way home I kept asking for Nona and saying that we were going to go see her. I sure missed her! But on our flight from Minneapolis to Washington National a flight attendant, named Sam, gave me a pair of wings. Mylan, a great flight attendant, even let me sit in her seat as we were at the gate waiting to get off the plane.

Me and Nona

Monday morning we said goodbye to Karen, Reagan and Harrison as they left to go back to South Dakota. I was very sad to see them go, and wanted to go with them! To help me feel better, Nona took me, and mommy and daddy, to the park, then made me breakfast. Thanks Nona! I fell asleep on the way to lunch, but did get to see a house that daddy wanted to see. It was the house pictured in some TV show called "Mork and Mindy". After my nap I had a great time playing with Nona, Stella, her dog, and Audrey and Chica, her cats! We played cards and puzzles, and went out back to play in the rock garden. I kept telling mommy and daddy to go back inside!

Tuesday morning I wished that mommy, daddy, and I had stayed inside! We tried walking to Logan's for breakfast, and we ended up going the wrong way. Luckily Nona called and met us at another coffee shop, and drove us home. Then we went to Pearl Street, which was an outdoor mall that had rocks to play on and metal animals to sit on. I even got to see the whole gang of mom's friends too. After my lunch and nap, Nona and I made chocolate chip cookies! They were yummy!

Playground and Idaho Springs

I got up at 4:15 and couldn't understand why it wasn't light outside, and why mommy and daddy weren't thrilled to see me awake. After all, to me it was 6:15 AM, and I was hungry and ready for action! Eventually my cousins awoke, and we headed to Logan's for breakfast, and then out to this neat playground. I enjoyed the swings, but didn't like this other circle ride, it went too fast for me! There were also paragliders sailing down from the mountain above.

We then took a ride up to Idaho Springs Colorado, which was a mining town, for pizza. It was nice having pizza with my cousins, and with mommy, daddy, Nona, and her friends.

Browns, Browns, and more Browns!

When we got to Denver, Aunt Karen picked us up at the airport. Silly daddy was looking around for Karen's car and talking on his cellphone and telling Karen where we were, and she said, "Kevin, look to your right", then daddy said, "oh, I guess I can hang up now". Daddy also was surprised that Denver was flat. Yes, it is at 5,280 feet, but it is on the edge of the Plains. Guess he needs to brush up on his geography too! On our way to Boulder, we could see the snow-capped Rockies in the background. I was happy to see Harrison and Reagan too. Nona's friend Andy made some delicious lasagna for us to have, then it was off to bed.

Mommy's Birthday
Today while I was at school daddy took mommy out to lunch and to see Angels and Demons to celebrate her birthday. Mommy even stopped by Gymboree to see Kim, I wish I could have seen Kim. I miss Kim so much. That evening mommy daddy and I went to Agio's at the Pookshill Marriott for dinner to celebrate mommy's birthday with Pops, Gams, Aunt Amy, Uncle Scott and my cousin, Abbey. I had so much fun playing with Abbey. It was a good thing that we ate in the private room so that Abbey and I could run around. We even climbed the chairs and ran across them. Abbey goes to Little Gym and so she taught me some things that she does there and I did it too like somersaults. We even played under the tables too. We played more than we ate. For Desert, mommy got Tiramisu with a candle on top and Happy Birthday Jennifer was written in chocolate on the plate. That was really neat. Mommy had a great time and so did I. I did not want to leave. Thanks to Aunt Amy we have pictures to share with everyone. Thank you again Aunt Amy.
