BrickFest at the BaySox Game

Here I am playing 9-hole chip and putt at the Bowie BaySox game!  If you look real closely, you can see that the edges of each of the 9 putting areas have Legos on them.  It was BrickFest and I got to make a few things with Legos, see some battery operated robots, and bought some cool Lego accessories to add to my collection.  As for the game, all I really wanted to do was play with my Legos.  After daddy explained why they were watering the infield and players were stretching and practicing, I had had enough, and we went home.  Thanks, Daddy for taking me!

Excavation of the foundation

Some big bulldozers and other dirt movers excavated the foundation of our house.  The cement square in the background is where our garage will be.  The foreground is the the house.  The metal poles sticking out are where the concrete will be poured for the foundation.  Before they pour the foundation, wood will be placed vertically on the cement outline of our house.

Staking out the ground

Before they build our house, they first stake out the land to mark where our property begins and ends.  The pile of gravel in the background has been there so long that you can actually see it on Google Maps!

Play date time!

After track and field practice today my friend Rafael came over for a play date.  We climbed on the monkey bars, and then were making silly faces at daddy.  We promised we wouldn't make these silly faces next week in class!  We begged daddy to let us have a sleepover, but we'll have to do it another time.  After we dropped Rafael off, I ran into two more friends of mine at Roy Rogers (Margaret and Oriri).

Building Permit

The building permit has been approved, and excavation of the foundation will start soon.  We haven't had any snow yet, so hopefully it will stay that way so our house can be built and we move in before I start second grade in August.

New House

Here is the plot of land on which our new house is going to be built.  Mommy and Daddy tell me there is a playground nearby too that I can play on.

Play date with twins

I'm having fun on the spider web with my friends Matthew and Nicholas, who came over today for a play date.  We climbed up to the top of the web too, but the picture didn't come out too well.

Grumpy old Troll

I was playing Grumpy Old Troll with daddy, and I asked him what 5 take-away 6 is, and daddy smiled and said, I'll learn the answer in sixth-grade, but it is negative one!

My Bowling Party

Even though I turned 6 on Wednesday, I celebrated today with my friends at the AMF College Park Lanes. Everyone had so much fun and so did I. Even my cousin Abbey was there too. We had fun playing duckpins, pretending to play arcade games, eating pizza, having soda, lemonade and a marble birthday cake with cars on it!! After my party, my Aunt Amy took Abbey and I to Pops and Gams house to play for a while. Then Pops and Gams took Abbey and I out to dinner, to the toy store, and to the cupcake store. Thank you Amy for taking me to Pops to play. Pops and I Gams thank you so much for celebrating my birthday with me, I had a great time. I was so glad I got to spend time with Abbey. It was the best day!!

I'm 6 years old today!

Six years ago today a wonderful woman gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, and gave him to a family that could provide for him. He spent 15 months with a wonderful foster family that loved him very much.

Happy Birthday, Bobby, we are so proud of you! Love, Mom and Dad

I'm in Kindergarten Now!

On Tuesday I played in the kindergarten room while mommy and daddy met with my teacher, Mrs. Brady. Today was my first day of kindergarten, and I told daddy I liked everything and want to go back next Tuesday. Half of my class went today, and half will go tomorrow, so I'll see all of my classmates on Tuesday. I'll also have music, art, Spanish, library, PE, and computers.

Earthquake!

Today at Spanish camp our teacher said that a big truck went by outside because she didn't want to worry us that we had an earthquake! A 5.9 earthquake rattled us. It was daddy's first day of student teaching and he helped his first graders out into the hallway after the building started shaking.

Our Relaxing Trip To Williamsburg

We had a wonderful time in Williamsburg. The first night that we were there, Stephanie drove from Richmond (an hour away) to have dinner with us and to stay the night. The next day, mommy and Stephanie went to a Salt Spa which they liked very much. While they were there, daddy and I went to the pool. It was mostly hot during our trip so we did things mostly inside. We went to Ripley's Believe It or Not. I liked the museum part and I was excited about seeing the 4D Wizard of Oz movie as well as a 4D Dinosaur movie. However, I did not like it and they both scared me. I also did not like being squirted with water 10 times. I did like the bubbles and the snow. Mommy and daddy also took me to a Children's Museum in Portsmouth, VA. I really liked that. Thursday the 14th, I did many activities with the Activities Staff while mommy and daddy spent the day together for their 10 year anniversary. It was nice to get away from them for a little while. Then that evening they took me out to dinner. Our last day there, mommy and daddy took me to Busch Gardens. I had so much fun riding the rides and I even got to see Grover and Elmo!! I really enjoyed the trip. Maybe when I am older I will like to go into Colonial Williamsburg.

I am now looking forward to seeing my Great Aunt, Connie, my cousins Ellen and Lauren and their children in St. Louis. Then we will be going to Hannibal to see Dawn, mommy's roommate from college all of next week. I am also looking forward to August when my Aunt Karen, Uncle Corey and my cousins Reagan, Harrison, Madison, and Kennedy come out for a visit.

Sand, Water, And Rides-Oh My!

What a fun-filled weekend I had. Mommy Daddy and I drove to Pop's and Gam's beach house for the weekend. I got to see Pops, Gams, Aunt Amy, and my cousins Abbey and Casey. Aunt Amy brought us kids out on the beach so that we could play in the sand. I really enjoyed that I did not like going into the ocean though. Amy even put the baby pool out on the deck so that Abbey and I could play in it. Boy did we have fun getting each other wet. I think we even got mommy wet a few times. One day, Amy and mommy took Abbey and I to Funland in Rehobeth. I really enjoyed the rides especially the one that is like an elevator but it goes up and drops down very fast. There was even a playground area that I could climb on which I thoroughly enjoyed too. However, mommy did not get a picture of that because she was keeping tabs on where I was going through the maze. The whole weekend was so much fun. Our next trip will be to go to Williamsburg in July. Mommy and Daddy said that it will be a lot of fun.

Field Day At St. Ann's

Today was my last Field Day at St. Ann's Academy. I had a wonderful time with all my friends. Here is a picture of me with all of the friends in my Pre-K 4 class. Next year I will be participating in Field Day at St. Francis International School (where mommy works).

Bobby saying goodnight to mommy

I was saying goodnight to mommy and she said she had to take a test tomorrow. I asked what kind of test, and she said to get certified as a teacher. I said, 'Oh, so the kids will be quiet and play nicely, and listen to you and follow the rules of the school'.

A Great Night With My Cousin, Abbey

Tonight mommy, daddy, and I went out to dinner with Pops, Gams, and Abbey. Abbey and I got to sit next to each other. We had so much fun coloring and laughing. Gams, Pops, mommy and daddy even played a 20 questions with us to keep us occupied. Since Abbey and I did so well with eating our dinner we were able to have some ice cream. Yummy! I had so much fun with Abbey and I cannot wait to see her again.

Bobby playing Ms. Pacman

I described this fantastic game I was playing with daddy: the snapping thing eats the dots and then the monsters turn blue and then you eat them.

Never mind that mommy and daddy played Ms. Pacman 25 years before I was born!

Fish Fry

Tonight mommy, daddy and I went to the fish fry at St. Camilla's. We had fish, mac and cheese, green beans, and corn bread. I really did not like the fish, however, I at least tried some of it. I really liked the mac and cheese, green beans, and corn bread. Here is a picture of me and daddy at the fish fry.
